Jalen Rose, a basketball player by profession, came to life on January 30th, 1973. He is a Native American and was born in Detroit, Michigan. Jalen was born to his father Jimmy Walker, who was himself a basketball player by profession and to his mother who took care of Jalen later on. Jalen has never met his father but only talked to him over phone. Jalen is 6 feet and 8 inches tall and had his passion in basketball from a very young age. Jalen did his education from ‘University of Michigan’ where he started participating in the Basketball games. Jalen was the part of the college’s basketball team popularly known as ‘Fab Five’ and took the team to the finals of many Basketball events. Immediately after his graduation, Jalen started his NBA career. Jalen is alleged to have a girlfriend named ‘Alexandra Rose’ to whom he married later on and has a kid named ‘Mariah Rose’ with her. However Jalen refused of any such relationship and even refuted the existence of a person named Alexandra in his life. James later on had girlfriend named Mauri Goens and some people claim that ‘Mariah’ is the daughter to Mauri. Post Mauri, James dated Krissy Terry and is still with her but has not married yet.

According to his biography, Jalen started his career at NBA with a club named Denver Nuggets in the year 1995 and performed good for the team. Post that Jalen was signed off by ‘Indiana Pacers’ where he played alongside the famous ‘Reggie Miller’. Jalen had a very successful stint with Indiana Pacers and helped the team win many competitions and put the team as one of the top teams of US. However Jalen was not very happy with the team management and some of the decisions the management made to put him on rest when the season was going on. Later on in 2001, Jalen joined ‘Chicago Bulls’ and in 2003 he joined ‘Toronto Raptors’. He played for the team ‘Toronto Raptors’ for a very short time and in 2006 he was signed off by ‘New York Knicks’ for an amount of $ 3 million. He had a successful journey with the club and later on retired from there. Jalen in his entire career played over 900 games and was referred to as the Nice Guy of Basketball. After retiring from NBA, Jalen joined ESPN in 2007 and appeared in many shows doing the reporting in the initial phase and later on hosting various shows including the famous show ‘Sportscenter’ wherein he acted as an analyst to the game.
Jalen is also known for his social work. He donated a huge amount of $1.3 million from his foundation for developing the youth who have not got enough chances in their lives. He also formed an organization named JRLA which works towards development of children at a very young age to make them capable of getting good education and a successful career. Jalen has a total net worth of around $ 60 million which is on an increasing trend because of his current association with ESPN as a host and an analyst.
