Frances Rivera was born on 15th November, 1970 in Philippines to Filipino parents. She later moved to Austin, Texas along with her family when she was 3 years old. The family then moved to Dallas, Texas along with 2 of her brothers. She did her schooling there, which she did brilliantly. She was sent to her homeland, Philippines, to complete her education. She started studying Journalism at the University of Philippines. She completed her graduation and returned to her family in Dallas. She started her career at CBS Morning News in New York City. She later worked at Oklahoma City for CBS affiliate KWTV. She also worked at KFDX, which was a CBS affiliate located in Wichita Falls, Texas. During the 1996 Presidential campaign, she worked off camera for CBS News’s ‘The Morning Show’. In PBS show, Asian America, she served as the co-host and reporter. Her hard work was appreciated by her colleagues.
