Farhaan Behardien

Farhaan Behardien was born in October in the year 1983 and he plays in South African International cricket. He plays for T20I and ODIs. During the Sri Lanka Tour, he was named as the captain of T20I.


For his domestic career, he did play at Nashua Titans and he made the first class and then List-A cricket debut for the 2004-2005 seasons. He is known to be an aggressive right handed batsman; he is a bowler and the athletic fielder.

In the year 2017, he was named to be the T20 Challenge player in the Cricket South Africa for the annual awards. In the year 2018, he got named to be squad of the Titans Team in 2018 Season. In 2018, he got named as the Titans Squad of 2018 in Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy. This is the same month that he scored 6000th run during the First class cricket. He was battling for the Titans in the CSA 4Day Franchise Series of 2018-19. In the year 2018, he got named as the Cape Town Blitz Squad in the Mzansi Super League’s First Edition for T20 Tournament.

In the year 2009, Farhaan Behardien had to travel to Australia where he underwent three weeks tour for the South African emerging squad. He also represented South Africa in the year 2009 for Hong Kong Sixes Tournament. During the tournament, he hit six of Final ball which led South Africa to the victory while playing against Hong Kong. In the year 2009, Behardian did play like an overseas player and he was playing for the Bovey Tracey. He was coaching the under-13 side.

According to Farhaan Behardien’s biography, he made his debut in international career in the year 2012 when he was playing against India for South Africa. He was able to get a place in South African Squad of 2012 ICC World Twenty20. He was playing in the ODI Squad of South Africa in the year 2014. He was able to play the important knock.

Even if the Farhaan Behardien’s stats at international level are not great, his domestic career shows that he is a good player. His batting system is known as right handed batsman and the bowling style is known as right-arm medium bowler. He was born in the city of Johannesburg in Transvaal Province. His batting average is 26.86 in T20 International cricket while in ODI match; he has 30.58 as batting average. His bowling average is 51.35 in ODI cricket. He has played in many teams such as South Africa, Kings XI Punjab, South Africa A, Titans and Western Province.

Farhaan Behardien is a cricketer capable to replace the middle-order batsmen if they are injured or if they are not around. During the World cup, he had been able to make a half century while playing with United Arab Emirates. He batted six but he did not good enough opportunities to help him to impress.
