Fantasia Barrino

Fantasia Barrino had not always got an easy life. According to her biography, she was born in the family that was performing and also recording songs locally. While in high school, she had a rough life. She grew up in the city of High Point, in North Carolina. She got raped by a classmate and stopped to go to school because of this. She got pregnant when she was only 16 and gave birth to a daughter with an ex-boyfriend called Brandel Shouse.

Trying to start a new life, she moved to live in Greensboro. This is where she auditioned to join American idol journey in Atlanta. She survived until the end and became the winner of the season.

In the year 2004, she released the debut single, I Believe and it entered into the top spot at the Billboard Hot 100. She did also release another album called Free Yourself and it got Platinum Certification under RIAA. She got four Grammy Nominations in the year 2006. She did perform at live telecast together with Ciara, Maroon 5, John Legend, Joss Stone and Aerosmith.

When he was preparing to start the sophomore set, she started to act. She was playing herself within the film called Life is Not a Fairy tale and it was at Lifetime television. It is autobiography based on her own life. it became a favorite of many people and it became the most viewed program at all time. it got followed by her first ever solo concert in the fall in 2010.

When it comes to her personal life, Fantasia Barrino did not live a smooth life during her entire career. It was said that she had an affair with a married man called Antwaun Cook for a year, but she denies it and she says that they come together after the split from his wife. During such controversy, she got hospitalized when she was found overdosed on the aspirin with another sleep aid. She said that she tried to commit a suicide.

In one year, she said that she is about to get a new baby but she did not talk about who is the father. She got a baby boy in the year 2011. After the birth of her baby boy, she did work hard and finished a studio installment album called Side Effects of you and people such as Missy Elliot, Kelly Rowland and BIG K.R.I.T were featured.

For her career, Fantasia Barrino got three nominations for Grammy award because of the debut album. Even if she was not able to win the award, she did perform at the 48th annual telecast with other artists. She had got many collaboration with other stars like Coko, Lil Mo, Faith Evans and Clark Sisters. She also sung with Yolanda Adams and Patti LaBelle. She has a net worth of 5 million dollars.
