Esther Lauren Povitsky is an American actress, podcast host, comedian, writer, and producer who was born on the 2nd of March in the year 1988 in Skokie, Illinois. The actress also goes by the nickname, Little Esther and she is Jewish. As a podcast host, Esther has several comedy podcasts to her credit including Little Esther’s Piecast, Weird adults with Little Esther, Brode, and Esther which features Brody Stevens and Glowing Up with Esther and Caroline.

Esther who resides in Los Angeles, California is the co-creator and star actress in the comedy television show titled Alone Together (2018). Esther presently plays the role of Maya in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and has featured in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Dude, Lady Dynamite, Love, Parks and Recreation, The Story of Our Times, Not Safe with Nikki Glaser, @midnight, All in All, The Eater, April among others.

Esther seems to be a private person as she has chosen to keep details about her parents away from the peering eyes of the public. We are only treated to the pictures of her parents which she shares on her social media platforms. While growing up, she has always been a comedian and she tagged herself a Theatrical Comedian. Upon graduating from Niles North High School, Skokie in 2006 and University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Esther relocated to Los Angeles in order to focus on her career in acting and stand-up comedy.

Esther attended iO Chicago, The Second City, and The Groundings where she learned comedy. Thus, she is a popular stand-up comedian in Los Angeles, California, The Comedy Store, The Ice House as well as The Improv.

Adding to her career achievements, Esther was the first female guest on The Joe Rogan Experience which marked the inception of her regular DEATHSQUAD podcast. Esther is also a regular guest on Ice House Chronicles. Remarkably, Esther rejected an offer from MTV in 2012 which required her to present a reality series based on her life experiences. Esther felt it would intrude into her personal life and as a private person; she chose her privacy and rejected the deal.
