David Anthony Mann was born on August 7, 1966 in Fort Worth, Texas, United States to African and American parents. He was raised in hometown. He started acting in his high school at the age of 15 initially as the comedian. He also acted in Community Theater. Before starting an acting career, David performed with gospel singer Kirk Frankland. His future wife Tamela also was a member of Kirk Franklin's vocal ensemble "The Family". Currently, David and wife are co-hosting the TV-Show “Hanging with the Manns” which covers the cooking and adventure timings of the comical couple. In addition to his acting career he released two musical albums “Mr. Brown's Good Ol' Time Church” in the 2007 and “The Master Plan: Special Edition” in the 2010 along with his wife Tamela. David has won the Image Award under the category of Outstanding Actor in a Comedy TV Series “Meet the Browns”. As great comedian he got NAACP Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series in the year 2011.
David is also actively engaged with the American Diabetes Association, where he serves as a spokesperson in his free time. Mann has a natural sense of humor that helped to him to become the person he is today. David is married to famous singer and actress Tamela J. Mann in 1988. They have married for 27 years.
