Daniel Tosh was born in the year 1975 on May 29th. He was born in the West Germany to his parents. He had to shift to Florida later with his parents, due to the job of his father. His father was a Presbyterian minister and held strong position in the country. He was sent to the Astronaut High School and was a very brilliant student. He was very good in Mathematics and Chemistry. He graduated from the high school in the year 1993.
He attended the University of Central Florida in the year 1996. In the university, he pursued a degree in marketing. Later, he also did a research at the Central Florida Research Park. He had to face many disappointments and drawbacks in his professional career. He went through a major depression at that stage of his life.

Tosh had to face many hurdles during the initial stage of his career but later, everything seemed to fall in place. In the year 1998, he made his first on screen appearance in the show Just for Laughs. The show could not be made on air for two years due to official reasons.
It was finally screened on the television in the year 2000, at the Theatre Saint Denis. Tosh’s performance in the show was so impressive that he became very popular in the industry. During this time, he got his first big career opportunity. He was offered the Late Show with David Letterman, which changed his career graph. After this success, he made appearances in several reality shows like Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

He has been also featured in films. In the Love Guru, he was given a short role of a cowboy. His own show Daniel Tosh: The Happy Thoughts was launched in the year 2011 on March 6. Later, Tosh was appointed as the executive producer of the Comedy Central. The show became very popular and went on for three seasons.
