Dahntay Jones was born in America in the year 1980. He is a professional basketball player and played under NBA for different teams. He started to play at the college level at Duke and Rutgers. He won NBA championship for the first time, playing for Cavaliers.

According to his biography, Dahntay Jones grew up in the city of Hamilton Square in New Jersey. He was the star for Steinert High School found in Hamilton Township. He played there since 1995 up to 1998. He got the McDonald’s All America Honorable mention when he was a senior and he averaged 24 points with 9 rebounds for each game while playing on Steinert.
After the college career, he was playing at Rutgers at the college level. After sophomore and freshman, he transferred to play under Duke. This is where he earned the All-ACC honorable mention honors in the year 2002. He averages 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds with 1.1 assist. In the senior season, he was able to play 33 games and he averaged 17.7 points with 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals for each game.
When he started his professional career, he played first with Memphis Grizzlies. He got selected to join Boston Celtics at the 20th overall pick for NBA draft of 2003. His right got traded afterwards together with the right of Troy Bell to join Memphis grizzlies instead. In the year 2003, he did make a professional debut and they won over Seattle SuperSonics. He recorded one rebound, one assist with two blocks in just eight minutes away of a bench. In the four seasons playing with Grizzlies, Jones did average 5.0 points for each game.
In 2007, Jones did signs to join Boston Celtics, but he was waived by Celtics and joined Sacramento Kings instead. In 2008, he signed to join Denver Nuggets. He made the debut game playing against Utah Jazz and recorded three points. In 2009, he signed a contract of four years to play with Indiana Pacers. In his debut game, they won over Atlanta Hawks. Afterwards, he played in Los Angeles Clippers, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Grand Rapid Drive and Cleveland Cavaliers
When it comes to his personal life, Dahntay Jones got married to Valeisha Butterfield, a daughter of a congressman of North Carolina. The two got married in the year 2011 and they had dated for some years. They have a son together called Tanner Jones. They are known to live a happy life together with their child.
