Personal life
In 1999, Cooper decided to marry with Ellen Heidingsfelder and the couple was blessed with three children: a girl named May Manning and two boys named Arch Manning and Heid Manning.
Studies and career
Cooper was born on March 6, 1974 (44 years old) and he was the first child of Archie Manning and Olivia Manning. He played football for Isidore Newman School, a private co-educational college preparatory school located in New Orleans, Louisian, as a wide receiver and he had a breakout year in his senior year of high school with his brother, Peyton Manning, who is considered to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time due to his impressive career.
Cooper Manning was a highly ranked prospect out of high school and ended up signing with the University of Mississippi, an American public research university located in Oxford, Mississippi. Unfortunately, when he started the practices in the summer before school, he felt some numbness in his fingers and toes.
At Mayo Clinic, Cooper was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, an abnormal narrowing of the spinal canal or neural foramen that results in pressure on the spinal cord or nerve roots. He decided to end his playing career after he found out the diagnosis, but, in 1998, his brother, Peyton Manning donned his jersey number when he began his professional career in the National Football League.
Post-football career
After the end of his football career, Cooper Manning decided to become a partner of Scotia Howard Well, an energy investment boutique with offices in Houston and New Orleans. This boutique holds annual an Energy Conference, who attracts a lot of representatives for high-level investors, private and public energy companies and other commercial lenders from all the world.
Cooper leaded up the Super Bowl XLVII, an American football game between the American Football Conference, and the National Football Conference to decide the National Football League champion for the 2012 season. He also hosted his own segment titled “Manning on the Street” on “The Dan Patrick Show”, a syndicated radio and television sports talk hosted by ESPN personality Dan Patrick.
At 41 years old, Manning joined on the broadcast team of Fox NFL Kickoff and in 2016 he became the Principal and Senior Managing Director of Investor Relations for the executive team of the AJ Capital Partners, a private real estate company based in Chicago.
Cooper Manning worked for a lot of projects, including the restorations of existing hotels and development of new properties located in Chicago (Chicago Athletic Association, Soho House Chicago, Thompson Chicago and Hotel Lincoln), but he focused on building a portfolio of hotels and resorts, especially for the company’s in-house brand like Graduate Hotels (a collection of boutique design-driven hotels in university anchored markets across the United States)
