Charles Barkley'S

Charles Barkley (full name Charles Wade Barkley ) was born on February 20, 1963 in Leeds, Alabama. He studied at the Leeds High School. Afterwards, he attended the Auburn University. He continued his career in collegiate basketball at Auburn for three seasons in a row. He left the College before his final year at Auburn University. Afterwards, he participated in the 1984 NBA draft. Charles was selected with the fifth pick by the Philadelphia 76ers. He served as a team member for this team till 1992. During his debut year he averaged 14.9 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. The next year he finally became the leading rebounder and number two scorer of the Philadelphia 76ers team.


During his career, he played the power forward position. She also played as small forward and center. He is known as the shortest player in the NBA, who lead the league in rebounding when he averaged a career high 14.6 rebounds per game in the 1986 season.

Later, he was named to the All-NBA Second Team. He had a very bad incident in the 1991, when during a game in New Jersey, he attempted to spit on a fan who has made a racial slur but his spit hitting a little girl. In the 1992 he was traded to the Phoenix Suns team. There, Charles won the league's Most Valuable Player Award. Later he got some problems with his back and began to speculate that the 1993–94 season would be his last in Phoenix. But he left only after two years, in the end of 1995-1996 season. He was traded to the Houston Rockets in the 1996–97 season. During his debut match for the Houston Rockets, Charles had a career-high 33 rebounds.

Additionally, to his sport career, he also is an author. He wrote and released his first book in the 2002, which was titled “I May Be Wrong, But I Doubt It”. Previously, he wrote the foreword for Rick Reilly's book “The Life of Reilly”. He released his second paperwork on the 2005. It was titled “Who's Afraid of a Large Black Man?”. He also has made his appearance in the TV series “Suits”. He got a guest role in the episode 3 of the fifth season. He appeared as himself in a cartoon movie Space Jam, which was released in the 1996.He also appeared in the eight season of the popular sitcom “Modern Family”. Another his project was WeightWatchers, where he served as a spokesman in the 2011. He promoted "Lose Like a Man" program as well as appeared in both television and online ads. He ended is professional career in 2000 and now served as an analyst.

He is a married man. His wife is Maureen Blumhardt. The couple exchanged their vows in the 1989. In the same year they got their first baby girl Christina. They have no more children.
