Born on August 27, 1969, in Houston situated in Texas, United States of America, Chandra Danette Wilson spent the better part of her childhood days growing up with her family in Texas. As a kid, she was indulged in several activities like dancing and acting and at the age of five, she was selected for performing plays for the Houston’s Theatre. She went on to study at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Montrose situated in Houston, Texas, United States of America. She then went on to attend the Tisch School of Arts and graduated with a degree in drama in the year 1991 from there. After her graduation from the Tisch School of Arts, she joined the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in the year 1991.

She made her movie debut in the year 1990 with the movie Peer Pressure, Drugs and... You. Although her role in the movie is not known as it was an insignificant one. She the went on to do several movies in her career which comprises of Mad Dog and Glory in 1993, Philadelphia as Chandra in 1993, Lone Star as Athena in 1996, Head of State as Jaime in 2003, I Love the 80’s 3-D as herself in 2005, A Single Woman as Coretta Scott King in 2008, Accidental Friendship as Yvonne Caldwell in 2008 and Frankie and Alice as Maxine in 2010.
Talking about her personal life, she is said to be in a relationship with someone, but it is not known if they are married or not and if that person is her husband. Chandra and her boyfriend are proud parents of three kids. Her first daughter named Serena was born in the year 1992. Recently, Chandra opened up about her daughter’s illness.
