Bruce Willis

Walter Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany to David Willis and Marlene. His father was an American soldier and mother is a German from Kassel. He also has younger siblings David, Robert and Florence. After two years in Germany, Bruce’s family moved back to America in New Jersey. Bruce began his education in Penns Grove High School in Carneys Point Township, his hometown. During the High School he was involved in school theater, before stage he had a stutter and while he playing on theater he lost it. He also was in drama club and held the position of student council president. After High School he took a job as a security guard at the Salem Nuclear Power Plant.

For a while he worked as private investigator, this experience helped to him with role in detective TV series “Moonlighting”. Since then he began his acting career. In the middle of 80s Bruce moved to California. He attended several audition for television shows. Willis appeared with secondary roles in TV series like “Miami Vice” and “Shatterday”. He got his breakthrough role in television series “Moonlighting” as David Addison Jr. and played along with Cybill Shepherd during 1985–89. This experience brought to him Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor. Willis got his first lead role in the film “Blind Date” in the 1987 along with Kim Basinger. Another successful role was in the movie “Die hard” in the 1988, where he portrayed John McClane. He continued to appear as John in the two more parts of Die Hard in the 1990 and 1995. Bruce played in the criminal film “Pulp Fiction” in the 1994. In the 1997 he appeared in the futuristic movie “The Fifth Element” as a taxi driver Korben Dallas.

He has appeared in over 90 movies and TV series, including “Armageddon”, “Unbreakable”, “The Sixth Sense”, “Red” and “La imagen de tu vida”. He also was involved in TV series “Friends” as Paul Stevens the father of Ross Geller's girlfriend. In 2000, he also won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on this comedy show. In the same year he played in the movie “The Whole Nine Yards” along with Matthew Perry and Michael Clarke Duncan.

Bruce Willis also is a singer, as a recording artist, he released three albums of pop-blues “The Return of Bruno”, “If It Don't Kill You, It Just Makes You Stronger” and “Classic Bruce Willis: The Universal Masters Collection”.

Willis married with actress Demi More in 1987. They welcomed three daughters. They divorced in the 2000. Bruce’s second wife become model Emma Heming, together they have two kids. He also is a businessman, who had his own motion picture production company called Cheyenne Enterprises. He is a co-founder of Planet Hollywood, with actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone. Willis signed a contract to become the international face of Belvedere SA's Sobieski Vodka in the 2009. Bruce Willis has a net worth of 180 million dollars.
