Elizabeth Chase Olsen was born on February 16, 1989 in Sherman Oaks, California. Her parents are Jarnette and David Olsen. Her mother served as a personal manager, while her father works as a real estate developer and a mortgage banker. They divorced in the 1996. Elizabeth is known to be a younger sister of the famous twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She also has an older brother Trent Olsen, and two younger half-siblings.
