Tom Berenger was born on May 31, 1949 in Chicago. His initial name was Thomas Michael Moore, but he had to change it in order to avoid confusions and to simplify the pronunciation, since, there was another actor Tom Moore. He was not the only child in the family, he also had a sister Susan. His father was a hard worker; he traveled all the time and sold stuff.
