Tina Yothers

American actress and singer, Tina Yothers is a child actor who started her career by doing television commercials when she was only three years old. Tina Yothers, age 45, was born on May 5th, 1973, in Whittier, California, she was named Kristina Louise Yothers at birth.

Tina is the daughter of Robert Alva Yothers, TV film producer. She is the sister of Jeffrey, Randy and Cory Yothers. Due to her father’s connection TV industry, all Yothers siblings got to work in commercials as kids. Yothers started working in commercials when she was only three years old and caught the acting bug from there. Her brother Randy Yothers later came to be known as Pointdexter and worked in Return From Witch Mountain. While her other brother Cory, also known as Bumper Yothers, only a year elder to her, worked in several films and TV series in the early 1980s.

Tina Yothers’ Education and career

Yothers was working from a very young age because of which education had to take a back seat. She did not go to high school due to her busy schedule. Yothers had been doing television commercials since she was three years old. She even did commercials for big names like Bell Telephone, Doritos and McDonald’s. Her film and television career took off in 1981 when she was only eight years old. Her first big break was a Walt Disney production. She worked in the TV series The Magical World of Disney’s episode ‘The Cherokee Trail’ (1981).

After this, she played the role of Molly Dunlop in the 1982 feature film ‘Shoot the Moon’ with actors Diane Keaton and Albert Finney. She also played the role of Beatrice in the TV series ‘Father Murphy’ in 1982. Later the same year she was cast to play the role which brought her much fame. She played the role of Jennifer Keaton on the TV series ‘Family Ties’, that later went on to be super successful. The show aired from 1982 to 1989, by when she was sixteen and famous.

She had appeared in several other television movies. She worked in ‘Your Place… or Mine’ in 1983 and ‘Driving Academy’ in 1988 where she played Alice Santini. She played her character Jennifer Keaton from the show ‘Family Ties’ in the television movie ‘Family Ties Vacation” in 1985 and in ‘Mickey’s 60th Birthday’ in 1988 which was a television special for the 60th birthday of the fictional Disney character Mickey Mouse. She also played the role of Sally Dwyer in ‘Domestic Life’ in 1984.

Yothers was nominated for four Young Artist Award for her part in Family Ties, of which she won one. After Family Ties she also worked in television movies ‘Laker Girls’, ‘Spunk: The Tonya Harding Story’ and ‘A Perry Mason Mystery: The Case of the Jealous Jokester’ in 1990, 1994 and 1995 respectively. And the television series ‘Married with Children’ in 1996.

Yothers also appeared in several reality shows which include ‘Celebrity Fit Club’ in 2006, ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ in 2006, ‘Celebrity Wife Swap’ in 2012 and ‘What Not To Wear’ in 2013. Yothers wrote a book called ‘Being Your Best: Tina Yothers Guide for Girls’ in 1987. Yothers and her brother, Cory, also formed a five-person band called Jaded. Yothers was the lead vocals of the band.

Is Tina Yothers Dating Someone?

Yothers never made the headlines for her dating life. Which is why the news of her marriage was a shock to many. For a person whose entire family is connected to the entertainment industry someway or the other, Yothers decided to marry outside the industry. She married Robert Kaiser, an electrician in 2002. The couple has two children. Lillian Grace and Robert Jake, born in 2005 and 2007 respectively. They live in Ontario, California.

Where Is Tina Yothers Now?

Yothers is happily married and is a mother to two children. There is nothing much on her work front. She makes an appearance on some show or documentary now and then. One can always hope to see her back on the screen.
