Thomas Jane

Famously known for his roles in movies such as ‘Padamati Sandhya Ragam’, ‘Dramcatcher’ and ‘The Last Time I Committed Suicide’, Thomas Jane is an American actor, producer, screenwriter, director and comic book writer.


Personal life

Thomas Jane was born on 22nd February, 1969 in the city of Baltimore in Maryland to Cynthia Elliott and Thomas Elliott Jr. His father Thomas was a genetic engineer while his mother Cynthia used to be an antique dealer. His birth sign is Pisces and he belongs to white ethnicity. He holds an American nationality. His charming personality and a tall height of 5 feet 11 inches appeals to people all over the world.

Thomas Jane graduated from Thomas Spring Wotton High School in the year 1987 when he was eighteen years old. Soon after graduating from high school, Thomas took a huge decision regarding his acting career and moved to Hollywood. It took a young Thomas a lot of courage and determination to do this as he initially spent his time in Hollywood as a homeless person who lived in his car and performed on the streets to earn bread and butter. He now recalls saying that he memorized two songs ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ and ‘Hey Joe’ and kept playing them all day long until people forcefully paid him to switch over to the next song.

Thomas Jane tied the knot with actress Aysha Hauer in 1989. The couple divorced in 1995 after starting in a number of films together. Later, Thomas got engaged to Olivia d’Abo in 1998 and this relationship lasted until 2001. The same year, Jane met Patricia Arquette whom he got engaged to the following year. Jane and Patricia married in 2006 in Venice, Italy. Sadly, the couple divorced in 2011 and Thomas has stayed single since then.

Career

Thomas Jane luckily landed his first audition at the age of seventeen because he had the right hair color at the right time. His debut film was and Indian movie called ‘Padamati Sandhya Ragam’ and Thomas got the role as the director came to Washington DC looking for a blonde kid. The film was a Romeo and Juliet romantic story between an Indian girl and an American. Despite getting fame and money in India, Thomas went back to America to study acting.

Thomas shifted to Hollywood in hopes of becoming an actor but he ended up homeless. He did odd jobs and had to act mentally disabled in order to get money. During this time, Thomas did work in local theater houses and commercials but sadly, the commercials weren’t good enough to be aired on television. After years of toiling hard for money, Thomas got a role in 1997’s ‘The Last Time I Committed Suicide’. The movie wasn’t a hit but Thomas got praises from everybody. This was followed by minor roles in ‘The Thin Red Line’, ‘Boogie Nights’ and ‘The Velocity of Gary’. Since then, Thomas has starred in a number of films and television shows which is why he has accumulated a net worth of $10 million.
