Sharyn Alfonsi

She was born on June 3, 1972 and has had a successful stint as an American journalist for many years now. She has been in the limelight for many successful news items and anchoring including the famous 60 minutes and 60 minutes sports. Extremely good looking, suave and sophisticated, Sharyn Alfonsi has a huge fan following and many of them are men by the thousands. Though nothing much is known about her personal life and her early life, it is believed that Alfonsi attended high school in McLean, Virginia. There is no denying the fact that she has given quite a bit to journalism and many young women and men look up to her when it comes to honest and independent reporting. It is quite obvious that she does get paid quite well because of her fantastic repute as a journalist. She started her career way back in 1994 when she was just 22 years old. Her stint in the industry began with KHBS TV where she worked as a photographer, reporter and weekend weather anchor. She later also worked as an editor. Her growth moved upwards when she became an assignment reporter for WVEC TV.

Her successful years were perhaps between 2000 and 2003 when she was credited for covering some interesting incidents and topics. She gained fame and name for covering Catholic Church Scandal and also for covering the Station Nightclub fire as a reporter. She struggled a bit after that and moved from CBC to ABC. She joined this network and worked as a correspondent for World News and worked alongside Charles Gibson.
