Seth Gabel was born on October 3, 1981in Hollywood, Florida, and is a Jewish. He lost his parents in early childhood and was raised under the surname of his stepfather Cosentino, who adopted him. He is a great-nephew of actor Martin Gabel. He attended University School of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida in 1999, and graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.


Seth got attention since he played role of Adrian Moore, who was an adopted son of Ava Moore on the FX series “Nip/Tuck”. Seth Gabel played Mike in a movie “Tadpole” in the 2000. He also appeared on movie “The Free World” directed by Jason Lew. In the 2002 Seth landed the role of James Bass in a television series “100 Centre Street”. The next year he appeared in drama TV series “The Lyon's Den” as Beau Van Hessche. He also appeared in the film version of Dan Brown’s novel, “The Da Vinci Code”, directed by his father-in-law Ron Howard in the 2006. At the same year he played David Wuhlman in a television movie “Beyond. Gabel is also known as Cotton Matheron from WGN America series “Salem”. In the 2009 he was involved in movie “Jerry” with secondary role. The next year he takes a part in another project “Jonah Hex”. He starred in the drama movie, Take Me Home Tonight in the 2011 as Brent Tufford. Gabel appeared in TV series “Fringe” portraying FBI agent during 2010-2011 and was nominated by this role for Saturn Awards as Best Guest Starring Role on Television. He played Lieutenant Danny Sefton in the movie “Allegiance” in the 2012.

In the 2013, Gabel played on superhero TV series “Arrow” as a character based on Count Vertigo, known as the Count. His acting career include recurring and guest starring roles on “United States of Tara”, “The Closer”, “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, and “Sex and the City”. In 2016, Gabel appeared in the new season of TV series American Horror Story as Jeffrey Dahmer. He also appeared in “Dirty Sexy Money” with role of Jeremy Darling, the charming son of the privileged and powerful Darling family, along with Samaire Armstrong, who played his sister.

Gabel met actress Bryce Dallas Howard during his New York University years. Seth and Bryce dated for five years before marrying. They married on June 17, 2006, in Greenwich, Connecticut. Currently Seth and his wife have two children: son Theodore Norman Howard-Gabel, and daughter Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel. He was much exited to be a father. He said "Before my first child was born, I had nothing going on professionally really, and it's been a very blessed period of creativity for me since he arrived. It's very surreal. It's almost as if the babies are out there pulling strings somewhere, deciding what kind of life they want to be born into". Gabel has a net worth of 2 million dollars.
