Sara Bareilles was born in the year 1979 and she is an American actress, songwriter and a singer. She became famous for the first time in the year 2007, when the hit single Love Song became number four at chart of Billboard Hot 100. She has sold around 1 million albums with nine million downloads for her singles in USA alone. She has been nominated for Grammy Awards six times. Her album named Blessed Unrest has been nominated for Album of The Year award.


For The Sing-Off show of NBC, Sara Bareilles was a celebrity judge together with Shawn Stockman and Ben Folds for the third season. in the year 2012, she was placed at the 80th spot in the list of Top 100 Greatest Women in Music by VH1. Sara Bareilles grew up in the city of Eureka, in California. Her parents, had other two daughters, her siblings. Her mother is Bonnie Halvorsen and was a worker in a funeral home while her father is Paul Bareilles, who was insurance adjuster. She was also born with a half sister called Melody. She has French, Portuguese, German, English and Italian descent. Sara Bareilles is able to speak well Italian and she lived for one year in Italy.

She grew up as Catholic and she participated in high school choir. She was interested in music at early age, participating in community theater musical production, Limited Edition and High school choir. She played as Audrey in the production of her high school named Little Shop of Horrors. When she finished the high school, she did communication studies in the University of California in Los Angeles.

She was the member for the Awaken a Capella, a co-ed a capella group. Her voice can be hard on the album called Dysfunktional Family where she sung the original selection, I Want You Back and Gravity, songs of The Jackson 5.
