Born on 6th June 1980, Pete Hegseth is a renowned American television personality who is a contributor to the FOX News Channel.


Personal life

Pete Hegseth was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to parents Brian Hegseth and Penelope Hegseth, as per his biography. He was raised in a loving and happy family in Forest Lake, Minnesota. As his occupation suggests, Pete was always a bright kid in school who was always eager to learn. He studied at the Forest Lake Area High School which is based in Minnesota.

After graduating from high school, Pete opted for higher college studies which is why he got himself enrolled at the prestigious Ivy league college Princeton University to study Bachelor of Arts. After securing exceptionally good grades in such a reputed college, he went to Harvard University wherein he graduated with a Public Policy degree. While at the University, Pete used to work as an editor of a publication owned by college students called ‘Princeton Tory’.

Pete Hegseth is a very particular man when it comes to sharing details about his personal life. Nonetheless, it is a known fact that he has had two wives until date. His first wife was Meredith Schwarz whom he met during his school days. Pete and Meredith filed for a divorce in the year 2009 citing personal issues. The couple had no children during their dating period. In June 2010, Pete Hegseth got married to Samantha and this relationship is still into existence. Samantha is the mother of three children as well.

A versatile personality, Pete Hegseth has multiple sources of income. He is most famously known for being a contributor to the FoxNews.com, Fox News Channel and National Review Online. Pete can be regularly seen appearing on the Fox television show ‘Fox and Friends’. Other TV shows which Pete appears in are ‘Outnumbered’, ‘The Kelly File’, ‘Happening Now’ and ‘America’s Newsroom’.

Quite interestingly, Pete Hegseth has also served in the American Military service. He worked in Samara and Baghdad as the leader of the infantry platoon. He has also served at the Guantanamo Bay in 2004 as an infantry platoon leader again. For his contributions to the army, Pete has been acclaimed with several awards the Bronze Star Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, a second Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantryman Badge.
