Lil Mo is the stage name for Cynthia Karen Loving and was born in 1979. She is American radio presenter, singer, songwriter, and also a record producer. She started the career when she was the protégée of Missy Elliott and she contributed some vocals to some work of Elliot and the most notable one was Hot Boyz. With the help of Elliot, she got a contract deal with Elektra Records and she released some songs alone like Hot Girls, 4Ever, Superwoman Pt II and Ta Da and her debut album is 5 minutes.


Besides the solo work, she had also other collaborative songs with Missy Elliot and she also worked with Ja Rule on Why did I Cry and Put It On Me songs that became hits. Afterwards, she was able to release four studio albums, fourteen hit singles and eleven music videos. She is the one known to bring out rapper Fabolous before he gained the attention of the media. In addition of working alone, she was also the backup voice for different records of artists like Faith Evans, Gerald LeVert, Tamar Braxton, Jay-Z and Nicole Wray.

Lil Mo was born in the military family and even if she was raised mostly in the Long Island in New York, she was moving regularly since her family was following the assignments of her father. Her father is Bishop Jacob and her mother was First-Lady Cynthia Loving Sr and she lived in the city of Texas, North Carolina and Georgia before she decided to settle down in Maryland, Baltimore. She dreamed to be a singer from her early age and she did everything to achieve such goal. She was performing in the talent competitions in the places where her family were settling. When she achieved adulthood, Mo settled in Manhattan of New York City and she hoped to continue with the music career in that place.

Lil Mo got interested in the communication after working part time as anchor at WXYV-FM. Lil Mo met Al Stone, her first husband in Washington D.C’s gas station and she asked for his number. In five months of dating, they got married and they have two children. She asked for a divorce in 2005 and then got married to a Gospel recording artist called Phillip Bryant. They got a son in 2009. She now lives in Maryland in the city of Odenton. She gave birth to a second child in 2012. However, she separated with his husband and got married again to Karl Dargan whom they have a son together.

In 2001, when Lil Mo was being escorted to her limousine, she was assaulted by the male at the concert venue of San Francisco. She got hit by a champagne bottle in the head and was hospitalized for sometime in California Pacific Medical Center where she got 20 stitches. Her net worth is 250 thousand dollars.
