Garrett Morris

Garrett Morris is an eighty year old African-American comedian who is famous for being in the cast of Saturday Night Live back in the year 1975, when it premiered. Garrett was presented as “President of the New York School for the Hard of Hearing” while his stay on the SNL.

Garrett Morris was born on 1st February, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Garrett belongs to the black ethnicity and holds an American nationality. His birth sign is Aquarius. He is a well known actor and comedian. He attended the Julliard School of Music and completed his education from there itself. Later, he went on to graduate from the Dilliard University where he even got an opportunity to perform in some Broadway musicals like ‘Ain’t Supposed to Die a Natural Death’ and ‘Hallelujah Baby!’

Career

As Garrett Morris was becoming a more and more successful actor and singer, he became a human activist to add to his personal accomplishments. Along with a few people, Garrett formed a group which was supposed to raise consciousness about racial issues. Despite several attempts, the group faced harassment from the police and political threats. Nevertheless, Garrett was quite pleased with this idea since he could use his talent to demonstrate a problem that is being faced by the masses.

By the year 1975, Garrett was still struggling despite being an actor for two decades. Despite the critics, Garrett had a great career at Saturday Night Live and he is actually famous for that. He is best known for portraying a Dominican basketball player named Chico Escuela. All in all, Garrett played six different characters on the Saturday Night Live. Garrett has a net worth of $500 thousand.
