Finola Hughes is a lady who has done almost everything, under the sky! She is very versatile and has a lot of fame to her credit! Finola Hughes, an actress, dancer, television host, author and entrepreneur was born on 29th October, 1959. She is best known for roles in movie Staying Alive and Saturday Night Fever and soap serials in General Hospital and All My Children.


Personal Life:

Hughes belonged to London, England. She got hitched in 1992 to Russell Young, who is a photographer. The couple was blessed with two sons and 1 daughter. Dylan Joseph Young, the elder son who was born on November 9th 2000 and another son named Cash Justice Young, who was born in 2005. This couple adopted a girl child named Sadie Beatrice, who was born in 2007.

Acting and dancing were not the only fields Hughes has been part of, she entered in direction in 2013. She debuted with The Bet an indie comedy-drama and second movie Byrd and the Bees which was a romantic comedy movie with lead Tracy Spiridakos and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. As an author, Hughes published two books, one being Soapsuds: A Novel and other one The Secret Garden. In her free time, Finola likes to invest time in maintaining her body by swimming and aerobics.

Career:

Finola Hughes was a trained dancer; she completed her training in dance and arts from Arts Educational Schools, London. She started her acting career in the character of Victoria the White Catwith Andrew Lloyd Webber. She acted, danced and gave her voice in various movies naming Staying Alive,Saturday Night Fever, Generation X , Nutcracker, Staying Alive, Haunted by Her Past, Above Suspicion, The Crying Child, Prison of Secrets, Superman: The Last Son of Krypton, Clash of the Titans, Aspen Extreme, The Corporate Ladder and Dark Side of Genius. She had also done a dance movie named Platinum, the Dance Movie.

Hughes was awarded a Daytime Emmy for an outstanding role on General Hospital 1991, in 2000 for All My Children and in 2002 for Anna. She was then established as a television star. After two years, she acted in the film ‘Aspen Extreme’, as a lead role. In April 2006, it was declared that she would be going back to GH.

Finola Hughes also worked in soaps television serials starting with Pacific Palisades in 1997. She gave her voice for Superman: The Animated Series and a comedy sequence Life with Louie. She worked in several other TV serials naming Blossom, in which she was casted for 28 episodes, for Pacific Palisades 13 episodes, guest appearance for Charmed for 9 episodes and various other serials Make It or Break It, Beware The Batman, Sunset Beach, Tracey Takes On..., The Love Boat: The Next Wave, Hope & Faith, Granite Flats, CSI: NY, General Hospital: Night Shift. She was also part of episode “Dancing with the Stars of Toledo" for serial Melissa & Joey. She hosted soap serial ‘How Do I Look?”, gave voice for serial Life with Louie and for 3 episodes of Superman: The Animated Series.
