Thomas Gibson

Thomas Gibson is American director and actor. He is best known for portraying Daniel Nyland  in the CBS series Chicago Hope, he was Greg Montgomery on ABC series called Dharma and Greg while he also played Aaron Hotchner at the CBS series known as Criminal Minds.


Gibson was born in the South Carolina and he is the last child in the children of Charles and Beth Mac Gibson. The mother worked like a social worker while the father worked like a lawyer and also a Democrat who worked for Senate and House of South Carolina state. He was raised as a roman catholic and his interest in acting started when he was still at young age. Gibson was fascinated because of Louis Armstrong and together with his sister, they were in the swim team and after the swim meets, they would go for pizza in the pizza parlor. This is the place where Gibson was also singing in the Dixieland Band and he would do a complete attempt of using Armstrong voice.

When he was still young, he went to Little Theater School and graduated from Bishop England High School. He went afterwards to College Charleston where he became the intern for Alabama Shakespeare Festival and was encouraged to go to Julliard School. After one year at Charleston, he got the scholarship to enter into Drama Division at Julliard. He graduated with the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in the year 1985.

According to the Thomas Gibson‘s biography, he started to act when he was 9 years and the first movie he acted into is Seize The Street: The Skateboard Musical which was the production of Charleston Stage. In his teenage age, he joined the classical theater where he was training as a member of the Young Charleston. His first appearance for television production was in the year 1987 when he was on the legal drama of CBS called Leg Work. He did the stints for As the World Turns for CBS and for NBC, he did Another World.

Thomas Gibson last work on the television was for Dr Danny Nyland role for CBS medical drama in Chicago Hope. His role as Greg Montgomery for ABC sitcom known Dharma & Greg and he was nominated for Golden Globe Award two times.

Thomas Gibson is married and his wife is called Christine. They have three children together, Agatha Marie, Travis Carter and James Parker. He has separated from his wife since 2011 but they still live in the same home because of the children. Thomas Gibson loves to play golf and he features in many events and he is a friend to Corey Pavin who is a golfer. He is a cancer for the star-sign and his net worth is 15 million dollars.
