Tasha Smith was born on 28th February, 1971 making her about 46 years of age. Tasha smith was born in a small town called Camden in New Jersey, USA. She is an actress, comedian and model by professing and has made an appearance in several movies and TV shows. She is famous for her appearance in the 2014 thriller movie Addicted, where she played the role of a psychotherapist.

Career

She made her first appearance in the film Twin Sitters in 1994 later on between 1996 and 1997 she was part of the stars in Boston Common, an NBC sitcom. She later on worked alongside Tom Arnold in 1997 in the WB sitcom The Tom Show which aired only for a short period. She became supporting actor characterized as a drug addict in an HBO miniseries, The Corner. On top of these, she was also a guest actor in others like Without Trace, The Parkers, Girlfriends and Nip/Tuck. She also appeared as a supporting actor in movies like ATL in 2006, Playas Ball in 2003, and Whole Ten Yards in 2004.

She also worked with Tyler Perry and took roles in his projects like the romantic comedy-drama movie, Daddy’s Little Girl in 2007, where she acted as the antagonist. In 2007 she played the character, Angelina Williams in the movie Why Did I get Married and also its counterpart Why Did I Get Married Too in 2010. And she later played this role in his For Better For Worse, a comedy series based on the movie.

She also appeared as a co-star alongside Keke Palmer and Ice Cube in the 2008 comedy, The Longshots. She is famous for her appearance in the 2014 thriller movie Addicted, where she acted as the psychotherapist. Currently, she plays the role of Carol Hardaway, Cookie Lyon’s baby sister in FOX’s hit drama series, Empire.

Personal Life.

Sasha smith and her identical twin sister, Sidra Smith, were born in Camden, New Jersey and were brought up by a single mom. Sidra Smith currently lives in Harlem. During an interview Tasha Smith revealed that she converted from atheism to Christianity.

Smith got married to her long term boyfriend, Keith Douglas, in December 2010 who at that time was her manager. Douglas filed a court case accusing Sasha of having affairs with other women in November 2014, in the same month Sasha went to court asking for a restraining order against Douglas where her friend Tisha Campbell-Martin was the character witness.

In March of 2015 there was the final issuance of a divorce decree. But Tasha opposed this divorce but saying that her husband has hidden some details that she was to have known before their marriage. She said her husband was not worthy to be married to her since he has a dark background, where he had 5 marriages before their marriage, had many children that he didn’t take responsibility of and also didn’t tell Tasha about, and failing to pay income taxes for about ten years.

Due to all these frauds done by her husband, Douglas, in December 2015, the judge hearing the case gave Tasha the ability to end their marriage. Due to the fact that she was the bread winner in her marriage with Douglas, she was ordered to pay $50, 000 to her former husband as spousal support
