Steven Bauer

Steven Bauer is an actor popularly known for his roles as Manny Ribera in Scarface and as Don Eladio in Breaking Bad.

Personal Life

Born on December 2nd 1956, in Cuba, father’s name is Lillian Samson Agostini who used to work as a school teacher and Esteban Echevarria, who worked for the Cubana Airlines, as a pilot. His ethnicity is Italian, Jewish and Cuban and Nationality is listed as The United States Of America. His birth name is Esteban Ernesto Echevarria Samson. His grandpa was a Jew, who was a refugee who migrated from Germany and his grandma was Cuban who was also an Italian ancestry.

Bauer took a sudden U-Turn in 1974 when he had passed out from Miami Coral Park High School. Steven wanted to be a musician, but then he had got interested in acting when he attended Miami Dade Community College, he was then moved to the University of Miami in which he had taken up a subject in the Department of Theatre Arts he then performed on the Jerry Herman Ring Theatre. After his act, he had become into good relations when he befriended with Ray Liotta. He has a good body build and a height of 6 feet one inch.

Bauer married actress Melanie Griffith and they had a son in 1985 but the couple ended in a divorce in 1989. Yet, in 1989 he got married to Ingrid Anderson, and they had another son in 1990. And again his second marriage ended in 1991 with a divorce. Bauer had two sons named Dylan and Alexander. A year after, he again had his third wife, Christina Boney but even with Christina, the marriage ended in a divorce. in December 2012, Steven was arrested in Miami, Florida as he was accused of driving with a suspended license. In 2016, Bauer checked himself into rehab for alcohol addiction.

Career

Bauer’s acting career started in 1977 when he played a role in a sitcom Que Pasa, that was a PBS Sitcom, bilingual in the USA playing as a son from a Cuban Exile Family as the role of a teen from 1977-1979. ‘From here to Eternity which was a Television ministry, Bauer made an appearance in it in 1980. He was popularly known for his roles here and some other projects Like Rocky Echevarria.

In 1983 movie Scarface, Bauer had gotten Manny Ribera as a role in his auditions, even though he wasn’t a popular actor at the time but still, even Producers felt and satisfied and assumed that he was fine for the role judging by his overwhelming auditions and because he was of Cuban Background. This performance allows him to be nominated at the Golden Globe in the category of Best Supporting Actor for his roles in the movies.

In the year 1986, he acquired two more roles relevant in the showbiz, in which the first role is in Running Scared, and the second one was in a story called ‘Sword Of Gideon’. From here, Bauer had turned his careers more prominent, although in action and in drama series in both small and big screens of acting especially in Traffic and Primal Fears in motion pictures.

In 2007, he had made a brief appearance on a series called Burn Notice in its episode. In 2011, he appeared on another series called Breaking Bad and acted as the part of Don Eladio, who was a Mexican drug lord in the movie. His estimated net worth is around $5 million.
