Paul Blackthorne

Paul Blackthorne was born on March 5, 1969 in Shropshire, England. He was raised by his parents in both England and Germany. He spent his childhood mostly at the Military bases, because his father was an officer.


His first breakthrough time was with a role of the Captain Andrew Russell in the Oscar-nominated Bollywood movie “Lagaan”. The film was released in the 2011. In fact, he spent six months learning Hindi for this role as he said for an interview. He started his acting career in the late 90s with a TV series “Jonathan Creek”, where he played Gino character.

He also played Romeo in the film “Romeo Thinks Again”. Previously, in the 1989 he appeared with a secondary role in the film “Road House”. In the 2000 he played in the film “Rhythm & Blues”. He played Dan in the 2001 movie “The Truth Game”. In the same year he participated as a cast of “Holby City” TV series, where he played the role of Guy Norton for 11 episodes.

According to the IMDB site he also played in the TV series “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” and “CSI: Miami”. Paul played a British import Doctor Matt Slingerland of “Presidio Med” TV series and made notable appearances Liam MacGregor in “Peak Practice”. He is known by his appearance as Doctor Jeremy Lawson in “ER” as well as biological terrorist, named Stephen Saunders on action thriller TV series “24”. He also appeared in numerous movies and tv shows like “Monk”, “Untitled Secret Service Project”, “Deadwood”, “Mindcrime” and “Gramercy Par”. In the 2005 he played Henry Stoller in the TV project “Medium”.

He also tried himself as a director and in the 2013 was released his first project “This American Journey”. It was the road trip documentary film, which follows him and Australian famous photographer Mister Basquali as they travel all over America interviewing casual citizens about how they feel about their great country. He also was involved in “The Dresden Files”project.

The River TV series became one of the successful work in his career, he starred there as Clark Quitely on the ABC channel. In the 2005 he played in the “Four Corners of Suburbia” movie. In the 2007 he appeared as Terrence Hill in the TV series “Big Shots”, where he served for 9 episodes.He also served as a voice actor for such projects like “Justice League: Doom” and “Star Wars Battlefront II” game. In the end of the 2012, he got one of the main roles in popular superhero TV series “Arrow” about Green Arrow hero. Being a regular character, he played Detective Quentin Lance.

Despite being a celebrity, he chooses not to disclose the details of has a personal life to his fans. He also seems to be focusing more on his career as an actor and is not married. There is no any information about his previous relationships, girlfriends, ex wife and so on. There was some rumor about him and famous actress Kaley Cuoco. But they are not dating. His net worth is about 3 million dollars.
