Magnus Carlsen was born under the name of Sven Magnus Oen Calsen and he is a grandmaster of Norwegian citizenship. He is now World Chess Champion since 2018. He was born in the year 1990 in the city of Tronsberg in Norway. He got the grandmaster title when he was only 13 years old.

Career
When he was 5 years, he started to learn how to play chess with his father. He became passionate player and at the beginning, he wanted to beat his sister, then he wanted to beat his father and continued until he became a grand master when he was only 13 years old. He was the youngest person to achieve it during that time.
While playing for the Nanjing Pearl Spring, he was the fifth chess player; he became the youngest person to achieve an Elo-Rating over 2800 people. This same year, he became the World Blitz Chess Champion. In the year 2010, he was the newest FIDE list and it got published when he was only 19 years. He was the youngest player to achieve to the World Number One.
He is known as World Champion and he is the strongest player who had lived up to now. In the year 2013, he was able to defeat Viswanathan Anand so that he can be ranked as the second youngest World Champion. For his personal bio, he was born to Henrik Albert Carlsen and Sigrun Oen. They are engineers. He started to show his intellectual ability at the age of two when he was able to solve a jigsaw puzzle of 50 pieces. He continued and was able to assemble the Lego sets designed for 4 years old.
When his father found out that he was a brilliant boy, he decided to start teaching him how to play chess. He became fascinated about the game and started to play all by himself for many hours.
