Luke Farrell Kirby was born on June 29, 1978 in Hamilton, Ontario. His parents are Americans, who moved to Canada from New York in the 1974. He has been interested in acting since his teenage years. After the high school, he studied drama at the National Theatre School of Canada. He graduated in the 2000. Soon after that he joined the cast of the CBS’ mini-series “Haven”. The next year he played Russel in the film “Empire of Dirt”. He got his breakthrough time with a role of Jon Stern in the TV series “Rectify”. In the 2013 he also played Detective Wolf Landsman in the project “Blue Bloods”.
