Lucas Black caught everybody’s attention when he played the lead actor in ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’. He gained more popularity through his roles in ‘All the Pretty Horses’, ‘Legion’ and ‘Get Low’.


Personal life

Lucas Yorn Black was born on 29th November, 1982 in a small town in Alabama called Decatur. His father Jan worked in an office while his mother Larry worked in a museum. Lucas has two elder siblings and all three of them were raised as a Southern Baptist. Lucas was raised in Speake where he played football for the local team Speake Bobcats. He graduated from high school in May 2001.

Lucas Black is a very prominent figure in the Hollywood industry, who has many accolades to his name. His roles in various classic movies have helped him receive good reviews from the fans and critics. He is famously known for enacting in the CBS TV series ‘American Gothic’ and in films like ‘Jarhead’, ‘Sling Blade’, ‘Legion’, ‘The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift’, ‘Friday Night Lights’, ‘Seven Days in Utopia’, ‘All the Pretty Horses’ and ‘Get Low’. These are only some of his excellent movies.

Lucas Black had a smooth and happy childhood as he grew up. He was born into a middle class family and spent his childhood playing football and acting in local shows. Career

After starring in his debut film ‘The War’ in 1994, Lucas was given many acting opportunities. He was called to play in CBS TV series ‘American Gothic’ which ran for an year from 1995 to 1996. He got several movie roles like ‘Ghosts of Mississippi’, ‘Sling Blade’ and ‘The X-Flies’ during the years 1996-1997. In 1997, he portrayed Conner Strong in the movie ‘Flash’. Few years later in 2003, Black starred in ‘Cold Mountain’, in which he played an autistic person. He starred in ‘Killer Diller’ and ‘Friday Night Lights’ the next year.

Ever since his debut in the year 1994, Lucas Black did a plethora of films. He got nominated and won several awards for these films. He has had a smooth sailing career throughout. He went on to star in an indie thriller ‘Deepwater’ which was directed by David Marfield in 2005. He did ‘Jarhead’ in which he starred as Chris Kruger. In the hit ‘The Fast and the Furious’ film, he starred as Sean Boswell in the year 2006. He portrayed Buddy in the indie drama ‘Get Low’, which was directed by Aaron Schneider in 2009. This list goes on and on in which Lucas gave back to back hit movies. His most impressive role was in ‘Tokyo Drift’ which is why he went on to star in ‘Fast & Furious 6’ and ‘Furious 7’ as well.
