Louise Minchin

Louise Minchin was born in the year 1968. She is a news presenter and a British Journalist.  She is now working as a freelance in the BBC. From 2006, she was a regular anchor at BBC one for the breakfast show. She was co-hosting this show on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The other co-host was Bill Turnbull.


From 2009 up to 2012, she co-hosted the Real Rescues together with Chris Hollins and Nick Knowles. She was a guest host of The One Show on different occasions from 2010.  Minchin has been born in Hong Kong and her father was an Irish Guards for the British Army. Minchin had been educated in the St Mary’s School and she got a degree in the Spanish in University of St Andrews.

Louise worked for bbc in the Latin American section during the year when she was in Argentina.  She toured a country, in the converted bus where she was meeting the fans of England in the World Cup coverage for the BBC News. She started to work for the Radio Live in the year 1998 and she presented different programs which included Drive and Breakfast. She is a regular BBC News channel presenter and she worked with Jon Sopel. She was among the main presenter of BBC up to 2012. 

In addition of the New, Louise was the presenter of the five series of the Missing live: the day time series and she presented the five series of the Real Rescue on the BBC one. She was the ambassador for the Share Take Care Campaign when they were to improve the safety of the internet.

Louise had been among the twelve celebrities that took part in the BBC around the world  in the 80 days and she travelled to Los Angeles from Mongolia with the BBC Breakfast co-presenter called Bill Turnbull in order to raise money for the children who are in need.

Minchin is working for many charities and this includes the SOS Children village, international orphan charity which provides the mothers and homes for the abandoned or orphaned children.  She supports the annual world orphan week campaign which takes place every February. Minchin had helped the support for Sense National Deafblind with Rubella Association when she interviewed the celebrity photographer Dave Hogan.  She was the host of the Sense Annual Award later in that year.

The couple had two daughters, Mia and Scarlet and they live together near the Chester.  The marriage took place in a small church of Hampshire where only 50 people were able to sit in the church, others waited outside.
