Kim Raver became a sensation after starring in the hugely popular edge-of-the-seat thriller series ‘24’. She played the role of Audrey Raines, a diplomat and a lobbyist and her performance won her a lot of acclaim. Kim’s first stint with tinseltown however, was when she started as a child artist in Sesame Street when she was barely 6. Kim has also delivered noteworthy performances in other popular series such as Grey’s anatomy and Third watch. She is known for her strikingly long angular face and delicate features.

PERSONAL LIFE:
Kim was born in New York and raised by her mother and stepfather. She has a large family comprising of one sibling, three half-sisters and two half-brothers. From her mother’s side, Kim is of German descent. She attended the Boston University and graduated with a bachelor in fine arts in drama. Her passion for theatre and drama is insatiable and that can be proven from the fact that she continues to study theatre in NewYork under the mentorship of Wynn Handman, to this day.
Kim is a very private person as far as her personal life is concerned. She is married to Manuel Boyer and has two sons with him. She was much praised for returning to shoot only a few days after giving birth to her second child. When she is not working, Kim loves to spend time with her huge close knit family.
CAREER:
As stated before Kim stated her career as a child artist by starring in Sesame Street. Soon after, she began acting in commercials. Her first big break was when she debuted in Broadway in the play “Holiday”by Philip Barry. Raver also featured in a lot of films, series and plays such as City Hall, the Glimmer brothers, etc. alongside established actors such as Al Pacino and David Schwimmer.
Kim was one among the ensemble cast of Third watch, where she played the role of KimZambrano, an FDNY paramedic who is torn because of her love towards her ex-husband. The role in 24 that made her a phenomenal success was offered in 2001. She left Third watch in which she was previously starring to take up her project with 24. Kim has also received widespread acclaim for her role as Teddy Altman in the hit show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’.
Raver’s role as the go-getter medico received a lot of fan-dom, however, one reporter of Entertainment Weekly wrote that Kim had not been used in the show to her fullest potential until the later episodes. She joined the show during its 6th season and reprised her rolefor three seasons after which she quit. This came in as a shocker for both the producers and the audience alike. However, Kim returned to play a brief stint in 24 and Grey’s anatomy after her short hiatus. Her latest project includes starring as Andrea Frost in the ABC political drama Designated Survivor.
