Kenan Thompson is known as an American actor and comedian. He is most famous for being the longest-tenured cast member on Saturday Night Live.

Background and Age

Kenan Thompson was born on May 10, 1978 in Atlanta, GA. He was born as the second of the three children of Fletcher and Elizabeth Ann Thompson. He had a senior brother and a more youthful sister. As a kid, he had a talent for acting and his mom urged him to take up acting classes to which he was enrolled at Tri-Cities High School, a Visual and Performing Arts Magnet School in East Point, Georgia. It wasn't long after he was enrolled in the school before he started appearing in their play The Gingerbread Duck.

The youthful Kenan increased his acting skill by trying out with The Youth Ensemble of Atlanta, a theater organization when he was around 15 years of age. At 16 years old, Kenan Thompson won the role of a film commentator with well known Turner Broadcasting Station and he was likewise an entertainment correspondent for CNN's Real News for Kids.
