Born on 6th September 1958, James Foxworthy is an actor, standup comedian, author, Television and radio personality. Foxworthy is also a associated with Blue Collar Comedy Group, it is a comedy group and has members like Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall and Ron White. He has given two albums which were certified 3xPlatinum. Being an author, he has written several books as well on redneck jokes. He is the most known for his comedy and considered one of the funniest and respected man in US.


Biography

Born in small town of Atlanta, Georgia, he is the eldest son of Jimmy Abstance Foxworthy and Carol Linda Foxworthy. His nickname is Foxworthy attended Hapeville High School and he went to Georgia Tech, but didn’t finish the graduation. Just like his father, Foxworthy was also an IBM executive. Foxworthy use to perform in his town’s comedy club. He got motivated and quit his job and started doing standup comedy. In 1985, he got married to Pamela Gregg. The couple is blessed with two daughters Jordon and Juliane.

Foxworthy is a well known standup comedian in US. He use to earn $32500 per show for ‘The Jeff Foxworthy Show’ in 1995 and he warns $150000 per episode for ‘Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader?’ in 2007-08. His hard work paid off and Foxworthy has a net worth of approximately $100 Million. Foxworthy is also fan of hunting, as a child, he use to hunt in their family farm.

Career

In 1993, ‘You Might Be a Redneck’ was launched and the album sold over three million copies. In 1995, he released a play named Games Redneck Play and received nomination for Best spoken comedy award. In 1995, his show was aired in ABC ‘The Jeff Foxworthy Show’. He appeared in many other sitcoms as well like, ‘Are your Smarter Than a Fifth Grader?’, ‘The American Bible Challenge’, ‘The American Baking Competition’. He appeared as host and Roast for few sitcoms as well.

In the year 2000, Jeff joined Blue Collar Comedy Troop with other standup comedian and started doing live shows in countries for three years. After three years, they got a contract with The WB Network television, Comedy Central and there show Blue Collar TV was aired.

Foxworthy wrote several books as well like ‘You Might Be a Redneck If’, ‘No Shirt, No Shoes, No Problem!’, ’The Redneck Grill’, ‘How to Really Stink At Golf’, How to Really Stink At Work’ . In 2008, he released a children’s book named Dirt On My Shirt, in 2009 Silly Street and in 2010 Hide!!!. Foxworthy use to do radio work as well. His show featured top 30 country hits of the weeks. He has a website which sells Foxworthy brand goods.

Jeff won an American Comedy Award for Funniest male standup Comic in 1990. In 1996, he won a People’s Choice Award for favorite Male performer in a new TV series. He got several times nominated for Gammy awards and Daytime Emmy Awards.
