Personal life
Jason was born on 6th February 1982 in Caracas, Venezuela. His mother, Linda Mishkin was an artist who inspired him into film making. He is known to be very close to his father Luis Silva, with whom he never misses a chance to travel and explore the world. He also has a sister and a brother, Jordan and Paulina respectively. His family was a secular family, sharing a lot of humour and love for arts and theatre.
Silva got obssessed with film making and documentaries in his teen age. He was always willing to share his thoughts with videos rather than a pen and a paper. His passion towards film making took him to pursue a degree in film and philosophy from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.

BrainGames runs on an interesting concept and actually makes your brain run through perception, deception and decision making. It shows how brain works under pressure as well. Silva runs a web series called ‘shots of awe’ on YouTube. It is a series of documentaries, which makes you wonder about life, tells you about evolution of intelligence and that too, in a fun and exciting way.
