James D Arcy

Simon Richard D'Arcy, popularly known as James D'Arcy, came to life on August 24th 1975. He was born in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, England and is popular for his roles in many movies and TV shows. James is known for his smart looks and handsome personality. He is 6' 3" (1.91 m) in height and is known for his close resemblance to a celebrity named Benedict Cumberbatch. Both the stars are known to be look alike and are often confused because of their resemblance in looks. James was born to his parents in London but had a somewhat troubled childhood as his father died when he was very young in age. He and his sister were taken care of by their mother who was a nurse by profession and had to work very hard to grow them up. James studied in ‘Christ’s Hospital’ in his schooling and later on moved to Australia to work in a school in the drama team of theirs. He came back to London to pursue his graduation in ‘London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art’ with a specialization in drama and Arts. By this time James had developed a keen interest in acting and knew that he would be pursuing his career in acting only. He started participating in many shows and drama competitions and won many of them. James is not married and doesn’t have a partner as of now as well. However he did have a girlfriend in the past but later on both of them separated because of internal differences. James however doesn’t like to discuss his personal life and relationships in public forums, chat shows and interviews.

According to his biography, James started his professional career working in drama when he was very young and had just passed out of his graduation. He started appearing in some small roles in some drama shows and TV shows. He gained some popularity there. He made his Television debut in the year 1996 with the show named ‘Silent Witness’ and later on acted in many TV shows in small roles and few episodes. Since 1996, James has appeared in over 40 TV shows and his roles have been appreciated in most of the TV shows he has done. However recently, James rose to much fame when he appeared in the TV show ‘Broadchurch’ in 2015. The show went on to become a major success and his role in the show of the character Lee Ashworth gained much appreciation from the critics and the audiences. In 2015 another of his shows ‘Agent Carter’ is gathering much attention and he is getting many positive reviews for the show. The show is still ongoing and becoming very popular. James has also been nominated for the ‘Ian Charleson Award’ for the best actor category for his role in the show ‘Edward II’ in 2002. Apart from this he has been much appreciated for his work starting from 1996 and continuing up till now.

James’ total net worth is projected to be around $4 million and is projected to increase in the future as well because of his continued performance in successful TV shows.
