Isaiah Washington, born Isaiah Washington IV on 13th August 1963, has been a U.S. actor. His nickname is Ike or Mickey. He is particularly famous for Exit Wounds (2001), Hollywood Homicide (2003), and Grey’s Anatomy (2005). He has been playing Chancellor Thelonious Jaha in the series entitled The 100 of the CW from 2014 to 2018.

Personal Life
Isaiah spent his early life in Houston, Texas, USA, where he was born. His mother and father resided in the Houston Heights locality. His father’s name had been Isaiah Washington III, but her mother’s name is not on record. They re-located themselves to Missouri City, Texas, in 1980. Isaiah graduated from Willowridge High School, Houston, in the year 1981. He himself said that his father had been killed. He was just 13 years old when his father was killed.
As far as his education is concerned, he joined Howard University and served the United States Air Force. He is of American nationality, and his ethnicity is African-American. It is also noteworthy to mention, that he was awarded the citizenship of Sierra Leone, the first African American, to be given the honor. At a certain juncture of his life, he had decided to become a football player. He also dreamt of becoming another “General Washington”. He underwent a DNA test to find out his heritage.
Isaiah Washington is married. He married his girlfriend Jenisa Marie Garland. She has been his girlfriend for quite a long time. Career
He started his career in film in the 1990s. He acted for the first time in a film entitled The Color of Love in 1991. In the very same year, he acted as Malcolm in a film entitled Land Where My Fathers Died. He has been the originator of the role of Dr. Preston Burke in the TV series entitled Grey’s Anatomy. He has been awarded the “NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series” twice for his outstanding role in Grey’s Autonomy.
He was also awarded Screen Actors Guild Award. In the month of June 2006, TV Guide declared him as “TV’s Sexiest Men”. The same TV channel awarded him the title “TV’s Sexiest Doctors” in the month of June 2008. He repeated the role of Dr. Preston Burke in the year 2014.
He acted as John Muhammad in the film Blue Caprice. He had been nominated for “Black Reel Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture” for his acting in that film. He was also nominated for “Gotham Independent Award for Best Actor”. However, he did not win any award out of these two nominations. As per his biography, his net worth is estimated at $500,000.
