Henry Thomas

Henry Thomas is a popular American actor. He is also known as a great musician in the industry. He has earned a lot of recognitions through his appearance on the television screen.

Henry Thomas was born in the year 1971 on September 9th. He grew up in San Antonio, Texas. He was the only child of his parents. His father, Henry Jackson Thomas was a hydraulic machinist and his mother Carolyn L. was a homemaker. He was very to his mother as he spent most of his time with his mother at home. As a child, he was very introvert and did not have any friends. He considered his mother as his best friend. He went to the East Central High School in San Antonio.

He was very brilliant as a student but never participated in any co-curricular activity of his school because he did not want to talk to people. As he grew up, he developed a passion towards music. Initially, he learned music from his mother. His mother was a good singer but never got the chance to make it, her profession. He used to watch a PBS acting show which increased his interest towards acting.

When he was a teenager, he joined a theatre school in his town as he aspired to become an actor. While he was in the school, he gave several auditions and made his first film debut in the film Raggedy Man in the year 1981. He also won a major role in the film E. T. the Extra-Terrestrial in the year 1982. He imparted the role with much excellence and has also received a lot of praises from the crew. The film was a huge success and he secured a lot of recognitions for his appearance.

Leading to his huge success, he appeared in Cloak & Dagger where he proved himself in a different type of role. In the film Psycho IV: The Beginning, he played the role of young Norman Bates. He grew up to be a good musician and also a good theatre actor. After completing his high school education, he wanted to pursue music but his father asked him complete his bachelor's degree before pursuing his passion. So he went to the Blinn College in Brenham to pursue his bachelor's degree in history and philosophy.

In the year 1994, he appeared in one of his famous adult role in the film Legends of the Fall. He played the role of Samuel Ludlow in the film which has received a lot of recognition. Some of major appearances include in the films The Last Ride, Gerald’s Game, Gangs of New York and many more. Though he had earned a lot of popularity as an actor, but he never gave up on his passion for music. He wrote and recorded several songs for popular music albums. He is also an active member of the famous musical band The Blue Heelers. He has also recorded songs for various films. In the film Honey Baby, he wrote and recorded the music with Nikki Sudden.
