David Gergen was born to John Jay Gergen and Aubigne Munger. He was the youngest child of the family of 3 children. He was born in North Carolina and it is also his birthplace. His brother named Stephen L Gergen has died.
David Gergen went to Durham High School and it was in his hometown. While in high school, he was the editor of his school newspaper called Hi-Rocket. After the high school, he went to Yale University and got a BA Degree in the year 1963. During this period, he was working likes Yale Daily News’s editor. He got the LLB degree at Harvard Law School.
From his bio, he started the career in politics in the year 1971. This is when he got the chance of working an assistant of Richard Nixon.
