Born on 1st of January in 1986, Colin Morgan is an Irish celebrity noted for his contributions in television, films, radio and theatre actor. He is mainly famous for playing the role of the main character in the fantasy series of BBC called Merlin. He also played the leading role in The Living and The Dead.

He was born in Northern Ireland, in a town named Armagh. He was the son of a painter, Bernard, who also did decorating jobs and Bernadette, who worked as a nurse. He has an older brother, Neil. Their family is Catholic. His childhood wasn’t an easy one. At that time Northern Ireland had a lot of social problems. These were basically a ethno-socialist conflicts and a lot homes were destroyed. It is sometimes called The Troubles internationally. But Morgan’s love for theatre could not be diminished.
He joined a local amateur drama club. He fondly reminisces about those times. He made his debut when he was five years old in a chorus in a production of Cinderella. He later played a part in the production of Peter Pan as well. He attended Saints And Scholars Integrated Primary School. During his school days, one of his teachers, Mr. McGee helped shape him up as theatre aspirant. Morgan fondly remembers him and says he was the inspiration he needed to pursue his dreams. He started studying at the Integrated College Dungannon when he was eleven. The staff remembers him as a very eager musician and a budding actor.
When he was 16 years old, he auditioned for the You’re A Star RTE One Programme in Belfast. He didn’t win it but he took his failure in stride. A determined Morgan then started studying in Belfast as it had a college which offered drama subject, something which his hometown lacked. He graduated from the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education. He then got into the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, located in Glasgow. This was a three year course and he graduated in the year, 2007.
His career in theatre is quite well known. He acted in Vernon God Little, Todo sobre mi madre by Pedro Almodóvar, A prayer for my Daughter, Our Private Life, Step in Time, The tempest, Mojo and many more. His first television appearance was on The Catherine Tate Show. This was in the years 2007 and 2008. From 2008-2012, he played the titular role of Merlin in BBCs series, Merlin. He has made quite a few other television appearances.
When it comes to his personal life, he is very secretive about it. He does not like to share any information with the media regarding his personal life. He is also a very dedicated person and concentrates in his family life as much as he concentrates in his professional life. This is probably the reason behind his success. We could not draw any specific information about his relationship status but he has a very high net worth which is due to his professional success.
