Colin Egglesfield was born in the year 1973 on February 9. He was born in Farmington Hills, Michigan in the United States. He grew up with his two siblings to his Irish parents. His parents were William Egglesfield and Kathleen. He was very close to his elder brother since early childhood. He also loved his younger sister a lot. His siblings has always been with him in every decisions of his life.
Colin’s parents worked outside so he has spent most of his time with his siblings. As a child, Colin always wanted to become a physician like his father but he developed an interest towards acting in his high school. He has also received the encouragement to become an actor from his siblings.
Later when his family shifted to Morris, Illinois with his family, he was sent to a very popular school of the town. He developed a good friend circle and his friends belonged from a very elite class of the society. This has helped him a lot to increase his contacts with the people in the industry. But as his father had a lot of expectations from him, he had to pursue medical career.
However, the financial condition of his family detoriated when he went to the Illinois Wesleyan University. It was impossible for his family to afford his educational expenses so he had to step into the modelling industry to fund his medical education. He posed for small television commercials and magazines but as he possessed a very good height along with a great physique, he earned popularity in the industry easily.
Colin was hardly anymore interested in the medical career because he was already pursuing his passion. He gave up on his medical education and went to Italy to pursue his modelling career at the Beatrice Model agency.
