First Break
Clifton Powell’s first break was in a made-for-TV movie named Kentucky Ride, which released in 1981. It was directed by Ephraim McDowell. This was his first acting role, which was followed three years later in his first feature movie titled Alphabet City. He went on to perform several character roles, most of which materialized in the late 80s. His first TV show appearance was a brief stint in the show Tour of Duty.
