Biography
The 29-year-old actor was born on 21st April, 1988 in Arden, North Carolina, U.S.A. His parents are Terry Sanders and M.C. Gaylord. Christoph, as he is commonly known, grew up in Hendersonville, North Carolina. Growing up, Christoph was a boy scout who was home-schooled for his education and also played soccer. Scouting was a significant part in young Christoph’s life and it became a part of him to the extent of impacted his outlook on other men. He attained the Eagle Scout rank, scouting highest rank.
At a point in his life, Sanders desired to be an engineer and even went on to attend Blue Ridge Community College to take up drafting classes for two years. Christoph then changed his mind and opted to become an actor since that was what he wanted to do instead. Christoph keeps a low profile of his personal life and thus, little information on his siblings and also his dating life is known. Despite been rumored to be gay, Christoph does not have a publicly-known girlfriend since that part of his life is kept private.
Career
Christoph’s interest in acting came at age 9 when he took up lessons at Flat Rock Playhouse. When he was 12 years old, Sanders got his first agent and at age 16, he did a number of TV commercials for General Mills in Georgia. At a young age, Christoph made appearances in over 16 productions which include Bye, Bye Birdie and A Christmas Carol: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, among many others.
Christoph made his debut in film when he received a role in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Booby back in 2006. It was filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina. This was only the start because he then received a role in the movie Hounddog. His role was surrounded with controversy because of a scene in the film where a young actress was raped by Christoph’s character. Though controversial, the role was challenging, a learning experience and an opportunity for him to display his acting prowess.
In an effort to pursue more opportunities, Christoph moved to Los Angeles in January 2007 to become a full-time actor. He spent months attending auditions and eventually landed a role in the movie Legally Blondes and also as Ned banks in Ghost Whisperer. This saw him inherit the role of Ned from Tyler Jones and became part of the regular cast in the beginning of season 4 after appearing as a guest in season 3. In 2017, Christoph has been involved in Last Man Standing as Kyle Anderson.
