Channing Tatum was born in the year 1980 on April 26. He grew up in Cullman, Albama as the son of Glenn Tatum and Kay Tatum with her sister, Paige Tatum. Her father was into the construction industry and her mother was an airline worker. He has received a Catholic upbringing from childhood. He had to follow strict discipline and manners from his early childhood days. When he was only six years old, he shifted to Pascagoula, Mississippi for the job purposes of his parents. As he belonged from a very middle class family, he was unable to enjoy every luxuries of life. He was very introvert as a child and suffered from several physical and mental problems.
He was the victim of dyslexia and attention deficit disorder during his growing up period. Due to these diseases, he lagged back in his school and failed to score good grades. He went to the Gaither High School and had a knack for different outdoor sports a d indoor cultural activities. He was also a member of track, soccer, football, baseball teams in his school. He even attended Kung fu classes in his school. He also took great interest in performing arts and loved to attend the drama classes.
He was teased many times by his classmates for showing so much interest in drama but he paid no attention to it and followed his passion. Later, he changed his school and attended the Tampa Catholic High School. In this school, he has won several awards as an athlete. After completing his high school graduation in the year 1998, he went to the Glenville State College as he got a scholarship for his excellent football performances. His grades consistently worsened after going to the university and thus, he was dropped out.
He started his career as a dancer in the music video “She Bangs” in the year 2000. He got this opportunity through his audition in Florida. Within some years, he earned popularity as a model of the industry and appeared in many commercials and brand advertisements like Pepsi and Mountain Dew. He was even listed among the 50 Most Beautiful Faces in the Tear Sheet magazine. His theatre works paved his path towards his successful film career.
