Camille
Grammer (née Donatacci) is an honest-to-God TV
star, and is most famous for starring in The
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She is undeniably famous, extremely rich
(her net worth is estimated to be 50
million dollars), dazzlingly beautiful even at 46, and talented to boot – in
addition to being an actor, she is also a dancer and a model, and has also
worked as a writer and producer for Grammnet Productions. But one thing that she
is not, is lucky in love.
Don't Miss: Gloria Borger
Camille was married to Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer for 14 years, before their divorce was finalized in 2011. The actress, however, decided to keep Kelsey’s last name, saying that the process of changing her name was too messy. The erstwhile couple have a daughter, Mason, and a son, Jude, who currently live with their mother.
Camille and Kelsey met in 1996 on a blind date and got married in 1997, after a brief period of dating. For the relationship to have lasted for 14 years – with two children to boot – there must have been at least some good things about the relationship. But although Camille stands by their marriage, saying that they had a life together, Kelsey’s version is pretty much diametrically opposite to that of Camille’s – according to him, it was over as soon as it had begun, and he was never truly happy in the relationship.
Regardless of whether or not Camille’s husband was happy with their relationship, the final strike that brought their life together tumbling down came when Kelsey met Kayte Walsh – an English flight attendant whom he later married – with whom he had a long-standing affair during his marriage to Camille. Camille came to know about Kelsey and Kayte when she once called home from California and was told that Kelsey’s wife was already there. She was shocked and hurt, and that was, well and truly, the beginning of the end.
After a lengthy settlement – that took two years to finalize – Camille received 30 million dollars from Kelsey as child and spousal support, and the physical custody of their two children. Since then, the erstwhile couple have engaged in verbal battles frequently, throwing dirt at each other on many occasions.
Since her split from Kelsey, Camille had been dating Dimitri Charalambopoulos, who is a Texas-based lawyer and fitness trainer (he is younger than her and the internet agrees that he is insanely good-looking, if you were wondering). You would think that finally, Camille had been served her happily ever after.
But no, her boyfriend turned out to be one of the abusive ones – allegedly, that is – and according to Camille, he assaulted her after she accused him of cheating on her. This was just after she was recovering from a radical hysterectomy too (if the allegations are true, I think we can all agree that Mr. Charalambopoulos is a despicable human being). She obtained a restraining order against him, and the couple are not together anymore.
Dimitri, in return, retaliated by dismissing the allegations as fabricated, and has filed his own defamation lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend. And so wages on, the messy battle that has stemmed from another bygone romance in Camille’s life.
