Brendan Schaub

Brendan Peter Schaub is a much acclaimed multi-faceted American TV personality. He is a commentator, actor, television host, football player, former MMA performer and also a standup comedian. After being in the professional MMA circuit for a long time, he took a hiatus and became a TV and podcast personality. He currently hosts two weekly podcasts, one being “The Fighter and the Kid” alongside famous comedy artist Bryan Callen, and the other being “Big Brown Breakdown” which he hosts on his own.


Brenden also co-hosted carpet events for E! Entertainment such as the after-shows of the Golden Globes, Academy Awards, People's Choice Awards, and The Grammy's. He has 3 Mixed Martial Arts Exhibition Record and 14 Mixed Martial Arts Records victories to his credit. He also did the commentatory for the highly anticipated Mayweather/McGregor Blockbuster Boxing held on August 26, 2017

PERSONAL LIFE:

Schaub was born in March 18, 1983 to Debra and Peter Schaub. His mother is of English ancestry and father is American. He was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. He attended the Overland High School. He was a star player of his school in lacrosse and football. He pursued his college education at the Whittier College. While in college, he played in both their football and lacrosse teams.

He later moved to the University of Colorado and played football with the “Utah Blaze”. After retiring from football, he became a professional Mix martial artist. Albeit clenching many titles, his MMA career was marred by injuries which forced him to give up on the sport. He tried his hands at Jiu jitsu, after which he become a famous TV personality.

Schaub is engaged to television actress and commentator, Joanna Zanella. The couple have a child born on February 21st, 2016, and named him Tiger Pax Schaub. Currently, Schaub with his family lives in Los Angeles, California. Before this, Schaub was in a relationship with judoka and actress, Ronda Rousey.

CAREER:

After his retirement from football, Schaub went on to train to become an MMA. His father was a taekwondo expert who had obtained a second degree black belt in the stunt form. The actor began to practice boxing and jiu-jitsu in his hometown of Colorado. In 2007,Schaub won the Colorado-New Mexico Golden Gloves Novice division heavyweight title.

Later he also obtained the purple belt injiu-jitsu. Schaub went on to compete on the tenth season of “The Ultimate Fighter”He was a finalist and the runner-up in the show. His main card debut at UFC 121 was in 2010 against former UFC heavyweight winner, Gabriel Gonzaga. Schaub ended up winning the match.

However, a lot of injuries led him to eventually quit his MMA career. Schaub had already built a successful entertainment career by then and wished to focus more on the same. On October 12, 2015, he announced on social media that he was leaving MMA for good.Schaub currently co-hosts the famous podcast “The Fighter and the Kid” with comedian Bryan Callen The show has become a raging hit in multiple countries across the world. The duo appeared on MTV ‘s Ridiculousness. Schaub has performed as a solo comedian at The Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and The Laugh Factory. Brenden has an estimated net worth of $3 million.
