Alex Borstein was born in the year 1971 on February 15th. She grew up with her siblings in Highland Park, Illinois in the United States. She and her two elder brothers lived with their parents Judy Borstein and Irv. While growing up, she has received a Jewish upbringing. Both her parents belonged to the same profession and worked as mental health professionals. She hardly got any time to spend with her parents as they remained busy most of the time.
She spent most of her time with her elder brothers and had a strong bond with them. She went to a local school in the suburb of Chicago which was just a few miles away from her home. From early childhood days, she used to write poems. She grew up to be a very good writer and also wrote various scripts for her school play. She also took great interest in acting. She participated in many drama events of her school where she played the lead role. Besides this, she was also very good in studies.
