Lisa Vidal was born in New York City, New York on June 13, 1965. She was born to mother Josie, a secretary and father Manny, a businessman and also a tax advisor. Lisa Vidal is of Puerto Rican descendence. Her parents moved out from Puerto Rico to The United States and have settled in New York. She has two sisters, Christina, born in 1981 and Tanya, born in 1966. Lisa also has a brother Christian. She was born in Whitestone, Queens.

Lisa finished her elementary school in New York City. After the elementary school education she auditioned and was finally accepted as a student in the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts

Career description

She has several roles in her biography. Her first acting engagement that can be put in her bio is her appearance in theater series Oye Willie when she was just 14 years old.

Later, in 1984 she made her first film debut with minor role in Delivery Boys (1984).

She was a part of the cast of The Cosby Show (1984-1992).

From the time period from 1994 to 1995, Lisa appeared in tv series New York Undercover (1994-1998), where she was given the role of a reporter named Carmen, the sister of detective Eddie Torres.

Starting in 1995, she was a part of the Off-Broadway Theater. She also took a part in television show The Commish (1991-1996).

She appeared in numerous films, including Odd Girl Out (2005), Chasing Papi (2003), Naughty or Nice (2004), I Like It Like That (1994), The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit (1998).

She starred along famous Robert De Niro and Jessica Lange in a 1992 film Night and the City.

Lisa Vidal became the regular cast of High Incident (1996-1997), an ABC police drama. She also appeared as cast of The Brian Benben Show, a show which only had a run of one month.

Her major roles include herself as Dr. Sarah Morales in crime series Third Watch (1999-2005) and the role of firefighter Sandy Lopez in medical drama ER (1994-2009).

She starred next to actress Bonnie Bedelia in The Division (2001-2004), a Lifetime television series.

For her role in The Division she received the nomination for ALMA Award in the category of best actress.

In the year of 2006, she had a short-lived role in Smith, action television series, as a federal agent looking for Ray Liotta's gang.

She starred in the NBC original series The Event in 2010.

Personal life

Lisa Vidal got married to her husband Jay Cohen, an estate agent in 1990. She has three children with him.

She and Jay never went under divorce. She lives with her family in Los Angeles.
