Lauren Scala is a famous reporter from New York. She is known for her notable career roles as a traffic reporter.


Lauren Scala was born in the year 1982 on February 10. She had spent her childhood in New York. She was the youngest child of her parents and was pampered a lot. She had an elder brother and also a younger sister who were twins. As a child, she was very talented as she excelled in studies and different cultural activities. Her mother was an author and she took her writing inspiration from her. She wrote articles and poems for her school magazine. She had also received various certifications and awards for her contributions as a writer.

She was also very much interested in the political affair of the world. She also kept herself updated with the current news affairs. Her general knowledge was very strong due to this and she also participated in the school debates. Being a popular student of her school she also hosted various events. She had also received various fellowships from her high school for being very good in academics. These fellowship degrees have allowed her to go further in her career.

When she finished her high school education, her father wanted her to join their family business but she wanted a different career for herself. She got the admission in one of the famous universities of New York due to her good grades in graduation. Her parents wanted her to pursue with accounting subjects but she wanted to be a reporter. She chose journalism as her major subject in the university along with the political science. She also did some notable research work in the university regarding some of the current affairs. She was also awarded for her research work in the university. She had also received the chance to work in a news channel as a trainee for some months.

After she finished her university education, she was appointed by the Time Out New York. She was not given any senior position in the channel as she was a fresher. She worked at Time Out New York in the position of associate producer.

After working with the channel for two years, she changed her job and joined the NYCTV as the co-host. She hosted regular events of the channel with one of her senior. She has also received several awards as a host. She also hosted the television show known as City Scoop. She played her role as a host very well so the whole cast was very impressed with her. She has hosted the 52nd Annual New York Emmy Awards in the year 2009 on the same channel.

Next, she joined the NBC channel where she hosted Don't Miss This, The Great American Health Challenge and Nonstop Sound. She is still working with the NBC channel and hosts only a program of half-an-hour duration for her huge number of followers. She has now been promoted to the position of a traffic reporter and also hosts Today in New York and New York Live.
