Kodi is a professional actor hailing from Adelaide, South Australia and has been active in the television industry since 2005, when he was just 19 years. Kodi’s name gradually grew popular, and it was his role as the Boy that was his major breakthrough in the movie The Road. Kodi’s performance started with his debut casting in the film dubbed Romulus, My Father, which marked his first feature in a film in the entertainment industry. Smit then lent his voice in ParaNorman as the film’s lead role. During the 2013 Academy Awards, the film received a nomination for the Best Animated Feature as well as a nomination for the Best Animated Film in the 2013 BAFTA Award. Later that year, Kodi featured on Dead Europe, a movie that was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2012. Also, he was the star in A Birder’s Guide to Everything, a film that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2013.
